Activities of  Monitoring & Evaluation Wing under the Directorate of Relief & Rehabilitation

Monitoring & Evaluation Wing created in the year 1988 under the Directorate of Relief & Rehabilitation to perform the tasks of monitoring, supervision and evaluation of the programme are being implemented  under  the Directorate. Since inception Monitoring & Evaluation Wing is performing regular monitoring and evaluation of Rural Infrastructure Innovation Programme (former FFW programme), Rural Infrastructure Maintenance Programme (former TR programme) and VGD Programme.  This wing monitors all FFW, TR, & VGD activities undertaken in the field levels. In case of FFW/Rural Infrastructure Innovation programme it monitors through pre-work survey before starts work of the project, monitoring ongoing schemes and taking post work measurement survey in the field levels . In case of TR Programme it monitors only on going projects. After completion of FFW and TR projects Monitoring & Evaluation Wing collects projects Completion Reports from Upazila level. On the basis of pre-work survey, project monitoring, post work survey and project completion report Evaluation and Monitoring Report of FFW and TR Programme is prepared by this Wing. Besides these Monitoring & Evaluation Wing is recovering unspent money of carrying & contingency cost and the value of unspent food of various programmes  and it works for disciplinary measures against defaulters of different projects . Till to day Monitoring & Evaluation Wing recovered TK=8,53,38,992.41. Monitoring work of this wing works for reducing the misappropriation tendencies  and improvement  of the works for reaching the targets of the programmes.

Monitoring & Evaluation:

Upazila Project Implementation Officer(PIO) regularly visit construction sites and maintain inventory,  document and progress report, Procurement details, estimation, Bills of bidders, progress to date, testing quality and quantity of works etc. Bridge engineer examine basement work, piling, palaciding, rod binding cementing works.  Upazila Nirbahi Officer, PIO and Bridge Engineer with a joint team visit every construction sites and ensure quality works and time completing works. Finally evaluation being carried out by Officers form Ministry of Food and Disaster management, Director/Dy. Director of DRR, Executive Engineer, Deputy Commissioner, and DRRO.
